If you're a teen or young adult struggling with anger, you’re not alone. Anger can feel overwhelming, especially when it shows up unexpectedly or makes you feel out of control. Whether you find yourself snapping at others, feeling frustrated over small things, or carrying around anger from deeper emotional pain, it’s important to know that help is available. At Healing Harmony, we’re here to provide a safe space where you can understand your emotions and work towards managing your anger in a healthy way
Anger management therapy is designed to help individuals understand the root causes of their anger and develop strategies to handle it in a productive way. This type of therapy focuses on identifying triggers, developing coping mechanisms, and learning how to express anger in a healthy and constructive manner.
For teens and young adults, anger can often be a response to stress, frustration, or feelings of helplessness. Anger management therapy helps you uncover these underlying emotions and teaches you how to process them without resorting to outbursts or destructive behaviors.
When anger becomes overwhelming, it can manifest in different ways. Some common signs that anger might be affecting your life include:
- Feeling irritable or angry most of the time
- Losing your temper over small things
- Physical symptoms like headaches, rapid heartbeat, or tightness in your chest when angry
- Difficulty calming down after an argument or frustrating situation
- Saying or doing things in anger that you later regret
- Feeling out of control during angry outbursts
- Avoiding certain people or situations because they trigger your anger
If any of these symptoms sound familiar, anger management therapy can help you regain control and develop healthier ways of dealing with frustration.
It’s normal to feel angry from time to time, but when anger becomes a constant or overwhelming presence in your life, it might be time to seek help. Ask yourself these questions:
- Do I often feel like my anger is out of control?
- Have I damaged relationships because of my anger?
- Do I feel guilty or embarrassed after getting angry?
- Am I avoiding people or situations because I know they’ll make me angry?
- Do I struggle to calm down once I get mad?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, working with an anger management therapist could help you understand your triggers, learn new coping skills, and build healthier relationships with those around you.
At Healing Harmony, we provide online anger management therapy for teens and young adults. Our approach is personalized to meet your needs, whether your anger stems from frustration, stress, trauma, or another underlying issue.

Anger can often be a response to stress, frustration, or feeling out of control. Therapy can help you uncover the underlying emotions that fuel your anger and teach you strategies to manage it.
While genetics can play a role in how we process emotions, environmental factors like stress, trauma, or learned behaviors often contribute to anger issues. Therapy can help you identify these patterns and develop new ways to cope.
When you feel anger rising, take a few deep breaths, step away from the situation if possible, and give yourself time to cool down. Relaxation techniques like deep breathing and mindfulness can help. It can be helpful to communicate with friends or family members that sometimes you need a few minutes to cool down before continuing a difficult conversation or situation.
Unmanaged anger can damage relationships by creating tension, mistrust, and fear. Over time, it can lead to isolation and breakdowns in communication. Therapy can help you rebuild these connections in a healthy way.
Anger issues are not a mental disorder by themselves, but they can be a symptom of underlying mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, or trauma. A therapist can help you explore what might be contributing to your anger and develop strategies to address it.
Life Coaching and Counseling overlap in many ways. Both help you reach life goals, deal with relational issues, process the past, etc. However, the way they are different is mainly what Life Coaching can’t do. For any type of diagnosing, trauma, suicidal ideation, and extreme cases, you would need to do Counseling with Jeffrey under his LPC license.
Both Jeffrey and Rebekah are specialized in TCK therapy. Rebekah is a Life Coach with official certifications in TCK Caregiving, Anxiety Coaching, and Christian Spiritual Direction.
Jeffrey is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has done extensive research on TCKs. He also specializes in and has done extensive research on ADHD.
Since Jeffrey is an LPC, he is licensed to diagnose and handle high levels of trauma, so if that is the case, you would be referred to him. Either way, once you have an introduction session with us, we will refer you to the one of us we think your situation needs the most and if we aren’t the right fit we will refer you to our network of other therapists.
Jeffrey LPC, can only provide in-person or online counseling if you are physically within the state of Texas.
If you are based anywhere else in the world we can help you with our life coach license.
We are passionate about serving TCKs and making sure they receive proper support so we offer a few sessions at a discounted rate. If those discounted sessions are already taken, then we do our best to pair you with other therapists and resources that match your budget.
We can also work with Missionaries’ sending organizations to see if they will pay for part of therapy.
Jeffrey and Rebekah are not family therapists, so if a client needs family therapy, we will refer them out to experienced therapists in our network. Individual therapy often involves other family members though, so there might be a few sessions that can involve other family members in order to support the individual client and their growth journey.
